Our Story

Our journey into fermentation started many moons ago when a dear friend first began experimenting with homebrews. It didn’t take long before Alexia and Katrien joined forces, spending countless hours perfecting recipes, tweaking flavors, and falling in love with the craft.

Life, as it often does, took us in different directions—Katrien moved away, and then COVID changed everything. Suddenly, the workshop that had once been filled with laughter, trial and error, and the sweet scent of fermentation stood still. But that wasn’t the end of the story.

That’s when Dédrik took over the workshop and we poured our hearts into building it into what it is today. What began with brewing has expanded into a deep passion for fermentation—crafting kombucha, experimenting with probiotic-rich foods, and most recently, diving into the incredible world of mycology.

And then there’s Allan. Allan, our sidekick from Malawi, is the backbone of our workshop, the keeper of secrets (and tools), and often knows more about the space than we do! He’s been with us through the chaos and the victories, always with a steady hand and a knowing smile.

What started as a simple love for brewing has grown into something so much bigger—a community, a family, and a business built on passion, resilience, and a whole lot of trial and error. We’re beyond grateful for this journey, and we can’t wait to share our craft with you.

Here’s to fermentation, fungi, and the magic of microbes.
